Straight to the point today, this was actually the second Avengers movie to come out..I will confidently say it was my least favorite..BY FAR..
However, it’s still action-packed, with some great laughable moments, and some awesome new additions. Right off the bat..the opening scene is the Avengers in action. They come off as a well-oiled machine who has clearly had practice at working together since the last movie. The action scenes are quite harmonic and beautiful to see as you watch them take down their enemy and retrieve Loki’s staff. Retrieving the staff is just the beginning of their conflict in the movie.
Iron man, still traumatized from entering a wormhole in the first Avengers feels as though earth and the human race are weak and need something STRONG to protect them. This is a more radicalized approach and Dr. Banner (aka the Hulk) injects his opinion of that sounding like a cold world. He wants to harness the intelligence within the staff to create bots that could effectively protect the human race…BIG TERMINATOR MOMENT..
PAUSE: IN every single futuristic sci-fi where a mad scientist has done so..it has never ended up well and usually with the robots turning against humans and doing the opposite of protecting.
Okay back to it..Iron man being the genius he is achieves harnessing the power..and oh what a surprise.. The AI does not like humans, hates the avenger, and LOATHES Tony Stark even more.
The movie really takes off from here, but I honestly felt as though it drags on a bit and this is just driving back my point of it being the least likable avengers movie to come out. WIth that said its still necessary to watch in the sequence of Marvel Universe films…so kinda have to sit through it.
