Going into the spring term for this class, I was very nervous as I have never had to create blog posts before, let alone create a website. My experience took off slowly, as I was unsure how to use Wix initially. Piece by piece and with the help of classmates and online tutorials, I began to understand how to use and interact with my website. The niche I selected was movie reviews. I felt I would be easily able to connect with my writing, based on the fact I have a passion for watching and discussing movies. Once the stress of the technicalities lifted, I enjoyed my experience watching and discussing movies of all genres. I also thoroughly enjoyed reading my fellow classmates blogs, as well as their commentary on mine. Which leads me to the point of, my voice does matter. I came to this conclusion through interacting with the blogs of my classmates. It was a breath of fresh air learning about them in a different way, and about their interests and knowledge on their topics. It gave me a different perspective on people, and reminded me that people are in fact versatile. There is more to a person than what we see in the classroom.

We are a new generation, some of us graduating soon. Our voice and opinions are the voice of tomorrow, and soon our voices will be the most important as we will be comprising most of the current population. Yes, this can even trickle down into our opinions on something such as movies. It is our perspective on what is currently going on in the world, and I guarantee our opinions on a movie may differ from that of a parent or grandparent. The relevance of the movie could be different (more or less meaning). I also thoroughly believe movies are a snapshot of pop-culture of that time, they act as a window into a generation's soul. They can indicate what our humor is, our values, and create influence and discussion among generations of people.
Although I am an inveterate non-movie watcher, we should check in after 5.27 when I go to see Maverick, the Top gun reboot. I would love your take!
